They are plenty of Democrats who oppose any change. Who say there plan is Medicare. There are others who only support changes that increase government spending like Obamacare. Outside of those you have Democrats that will talk about the need for reform but for whoom its all talk. They might pass limits they know will never get actually applied (like the limits on doctor compensation that get canceled for each year).

Of course most Republicans are just as bad. And they have, like the Democrats demagogued the issue.

But at least a few Republicans, like Paul Ryan, are actually supporting real reform.
