Geroge,
As I understand it, you are in agreement that Sophie represented that there was to be an expedited, 2-week turnaround regarding drill results. She told you that, she told me that, she told Pahww that, and I'm sure we're not the only three who were told that. I'm sure there may have been good, economic reasons for not following through on that strategy. The problem I have, and that others on this thead have, is that after they appaerently changed their mind on the expedited approach, they failed to tell any of us of that change. Now, this doesn't rise to the level of fraud, and maybe not even negligent misrepresentation, since the change of course very well could have taken place after the initial representation of a 2 week turnaround. But don't you think we were entitled to know of the change? I, for one, may have decided to sell all or some of my shares if I knew that WSP was only going to press for 2 week turnarounds if great kimberlite intersections were found. I feel that failure to tell us of a change in plans was reprehensible on their part. I see no reason to trust someone or some company that can represent one thing and do another without informing the people they told "A" to that "A" has now been changed to "B."
I seem to get a lot of flak from people, most of whom either never owned a WSP share until after the price fell from $4.55 to about $1.50, for what amounts to just speaking the truth about WSP mgt. And then there are the one(s) who defend WSP mgt. when they readily admit to shorting WSP a month or two ago. Go figure!
The bottom line is that those of us who are long are in a company that has no time to post on SI or have a conference call with investors and answer questions that need answering. They also show a disrespect for SH, and IMO have said things that were not true. Sophie said everything to me except "186 is a pipe," when discussing that issue with me, i.e. IMO she implied in many ways that 186 was in fact a pipe. but said that because of Bre-X and yadayadayada that mgt. had to watch their p's and q's and not describe 186 as a pipe, for technical reasons. I recall that day clearly - I was walking in the back yard with my cordless phone and looking at the grass when she said those things. If she denies that than, please, Sophie, sue me for defamation!! You know my name and address. I anxioulsy await service of process. I'll even waive personal service, just send me the complaint and I'll sign a proof of service. Then, I can obtain US jurisdiction on WSP and send some interrogatories to Dandy Randy and perhaps get to the bottom of some things I would love to find out. Sophie also gave me drilling dates that proved overly optimistic. I sent WSP a counter-argument for the proxy mailing by e-mail that was not only not included in the proxy material as seemed to be required by the regulations someone posted on this thread, but WSP never bothered to acknowledge receipt of the argument. There are probably 10,000 publicly traded companies out there in N. America, and were I starting from scratch, I certainly wouldn't pick WSP for my portfolio. But unless someone wants to pay me my basis for the stock, I'm stuck for the duration. After all, the geology looks good, although the market says the shares are worth .70, and those who have argued with the market have lost.
BTW, Bishop's Hotline recommended WSP, but said that with the price at .70, he would only purchase on weakness!! |
