I don't think Acronis is the blame, like Gottfried said, check your C: drive for errors, bad sectors, if it's has them, you won't be able to make reliable images that will restore.
Also, are you running True Image off the CD, or is it installed on your computer. If you are running it off the computer, as you have it installed, I can not answer any questions, cause I have never installed imaging software, I have for the last 12 years, ran it off boot disks or CD.
