Next to turbo engine using compressed air is a modern high compression engine. Compression of 9.1 ratio did pretty good to compress air on intake. The way to take advantage of compressed air is to use a fast burning gasoline such as octane 91 grade.

Upon ignition, it immediately heats up the compressed air and make it expand faster and create torque and power.

Typical example is in the mileage you get from the extra power you harnessed. octane 87/86 will get 22-25 miles per gallon, but octane 91 gasoline gets 37 miles per gallon on 9.1 compression ratio engines.

To use turbo engine, compressed air can raise the horse power by doubling it with the same gasoline mileage. You have to increase gear ratio to save gas, because of your power increase.

Aerodynamic design is in the amount of air going into the intake manifold. which can increase power and torque of the higher compression engine.

Compressed air is a wonderful technology to save gas by using air to run engine, along with a little gas.
