I Ran the CHKDSK on the ext drive, but cannot find the report on it; only the C drive report shows.

Any advice?

BTW, the 2nd run on the C drive results in 4 defective sectors

Ran Ultimate Defrag and will then chkdsk later to see if still 4 sectors

meanwhile started looking into a new laptop to replace this desktop...18.4" screen...maybe use it with a docking station in MA and another in FL, like my friend does. Geeesh! this is getting expensive, so trying like hell not to resort to it
