Since I reported the bizarre price discrepancies with the Dow Jones U.S. Financials Index (^USDJFN) as reported by numerous vendors earlier, I examined many other Dow Jones U.S. sector indices and found the same problem!

Please note the previous close (June 1) for each of the following indices as compared to today's prices (June 2). Then, note the daily change for each one! Something very bizarre is going on. Numerous vendors are reporting the same discrepancy, so it is not unique to Yahoo, Google, INO, etc.

finance.yahoo.com

Most are reporting moves down today (June 2) that are significantly more points lower than the previous closes on June 1 (yesterday) support in terms of a 1-day delta.

For example, the Dow Jones U.S. Basic Materials shows a previous close on June 1 of 312.93. Today, the price is 311.87 (as of this writing), or -1.06 points. However, the actual down move today is reported as 7.72 points or -2.42%.

Something very strange is going on! I watch these daily and this has NEVER happened as far as I know.

Any thoughts or comments? Is anyone else noticing the same?

BTW, I was on the phone with one of my brokers for half an hour and he has noticed the same. He is "looking into it" and will call me back.
