I don't know what Digitimes is talking about. I sent them a comment and checked the box requesting an email reply, asking when Apple ever provided such guidance.

Probably sloppy writing and they will say analyst guidance. But the message I'm getting from analyst comments on the supply chain is that iPhone sales are going better than expected. So it seems like they are wrong on the substance as well.
