Skeeter,

TI came a long way in 1997. Progress was tremendous when
you consider the profits against a fairly bad DRAM market.
Lot's of other positives came on strong too.

A lot of the discussion has been on what's next. Yes there
will be competition but that's always been the case. All
of what you are saying is true. You can take the half full
or half empty approach, whichever, but you cannot deny that
if TI management makes mostly the right moves and takes ad-
vantage and builds upon what is already in place, isn't there
a case for a very bright future?

My analysis tells me the company is stronger during this stock
price slump than it was when it slumped in 1995, much stronger.
Wouldn't this mean that the next surge would be commensurate?
I'm not sure but have a feeling.
