The Softs Review
For the week of June 6th, 2011

We will have a short talk with Pitguru Jurgens H. Bauer about the soft market for this week - June 6th, 2011 - to have ideas for planning your trading.

The Labor Department reported only 54,000 jobs created, while the unemployment rate rose to 9.1%. The March and April numbers were revised downward. What has happened to all the "green shoots" and "green jobs" promised by Obama? Recovery is not just around the corner.... QE2 has created a massive new bubble in dollar-based financial assets, from stocks to gold. Meanwhile, it has had zero visible effect on the real economy. I see the destruction of American businesses and more pressure on equities. How this impacts the dollar will be a key in my eyes.

Very interesting developments among several key components in the Soft complex late in the week lead me to believe that markets may have several excellent trading opportunities available this week. Cotton and Coffee options expire on Friday. Expect markets to test support. If they are successful then traders should see progress upward. If not, then I expect them to carve out sideways ranges.

First there is coffee, Coffee prices which took a header and looked headed for penetration of 253 and then 250 in KCN, instead turned around after reaching 253.80 and rallied late Thursday and again during most of Friday's session. After the move up.....
