just booted up once again with different date from safe mode

Now I have a completely BLANK desktop except for the background

I am leaving it alone in the hope that a miracle will happen and the icons reappear so I may use the puter

prsently working from my 10" netbook with tiny keybd

thinkinf of using it in safe mode if that does not happen. That means I will be wit5h Atrade, Fido, yahoo mail, google mail,QuoteTracker, SI, and Valueforum...none of which will give me trouble...I think
will not be opening asny email att, so think Iwill be safe?
