CK and bull, I've mentioned this before: I image my C drive and restore the image to my 2nd HD every weekend. Then I boot from it to make sure it works.

This way I would just tell BIOS to boot from the 2nd HD if the primary HD failed.

I've probably done 30 of those operations, using Acronis TI Home 2010. I keep no more than the last 5 images.

Before, I made images for years and never restored one out of fear it might corrupt something.
