It's not like the overhead on boxed DVDs is very high. I mean the economies of scale on Apple software are such that a boxed system probably costs them $2 max including distribution. Certainly not more than $4 tops. I think this is more like control. Michal has a bootleg Mac right now. He won't for long. I'm surprised there haven't been more complaints about this. I don't like it. What if you don't have an internet connection? It's going to play hell with Mac users in remote locations: Sailors Alaskans and others who live in remote areas Travelers in general
