since texas has been doing many things i wanted it to do in government -- like staying out of our way most of the time -- i have not paid so much attention to the various things perry has done. mostly i have read what he has pushed or signed, and i have mostly agreed.

i was very impressed by the quick and apparently surgical way he and his team knocked his republican challenger for governor, senator kay bailey hutchison, into the cheap seats in the outfield at the beginning of his campaign for reelection. i am not clear what he did, but it destroyed her from the outset. of course he handled his democrat challenger, the mayor of houston, very easily.

so perry has some sharp people who can hit hard for the opponent's jugular in public opinion in short order it would appear. such things are needed when dealing with obama and his team of adaptive liars.
