Kidl,

You are not a traditional or typical investor. Having earned nearly 18% ave. annual return
places you in the investment stratosphere.
Congratulations!

When I said that the traditional investor has made little or no money, I was thinking
of the average fund/retirement investor.
A Dalbar study (April 2011) states that the average equity investor over the past 20 years
has an ave. return of 3.83%, and the average asset allocated fund investor earned 2.56%.
This is pitiful.
Fixed income returned 1.01% compared to the Barclays Agg. Bond Index of 6.86%.
Again, pitiful.

You’re right; we all do our own thing. Your “thing” works for you and I wish you continued success.
