Lighting Science Group Hires Legal Veteran Zvi Raskin as General Counsel

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla., June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Lighting Science
Group Corporation (LSCG), a leading American maker of LED-based lighting,
announced today that it has hired Zvi Raskin to serve as general counsel. Raskin
will oversee all aspects of the Company's legal affairs and advise the senior
executive management team on operational and management issues. He will also
advise the Board of Directors on legal issues, regulatory compliance, corporate
governance and director responsibilities.

level of legal skill is complemented by his decisive leadership, ensuring that
the company will be able to traverse the legal and regulatory frontiers that are
accompanying our continued growth," said James Haworth, chief executive officer
of Lighting Science Group.

Prior to joining Lighting Science Group, Raskin acted as general counsel and
corporate secretary of Schick Technologies, Inc., where he oversaw the company's
successful IPO in 1997 and remained with the company following its acquisition by
Sirona Dental Systems, Inc. In his role as general counsel of Schick and Sirona,
Raskin was a member of the senior executive management team in addition to
operating as the company's compliance officer. Since 2007, he has also provided
consulting services to several other technology firms. Raskin started his career
practicing law at the New York law firms of Rosneman & Colin and Townley &
Updike.

Raskin holds a Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School. He is a member of the
Bars of the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern
and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the
Second Circuit.
