Inode, it wasn't just Friedman. Other economists have pointed out the good and bad of Keynesian theory. Some have even debated John Maynard Keynes directly.

Wish I could find the YouTube video of one of those economists. There are plenty of videos of Milton Friedman, though.

Lots of people, particularly libertarians, recognize Keynesian economics as a failed theory, but one that is still widely subscribed to by liberals. Intellectuals on the left come up with numbers and economic models that all look good in theory, but break down in practice because the fundamentals of a strong, functioning economy are completely ignored.

Anyway, you don't have to be an economist to recognize that paying people to dig holes that other people fill up is stupid. Yet a Keynesian has to believe that this is good. Just look at Bentway. Or any other libtard who believes that "wasteful spending is stimulus" and "unemployment checks create jobs."
