Back in 1977 I went to court with the Chief Scientist of the State Police Lab as he was called to testify on one of my cases. While we waited to testify the conversation somehow drifted to Tylenol. He told me he noticed changes in his son's liver function when taking Tylenol (he was ill) and later discovered the damage increased several fold. He warned me against using it. I never touched it since. That was at least 25 years before formal warnings came out on Tylenol and the liver.

I had great respect for the doctor and preached against it from that day.

Today I use coated aspirin or Naproxin Sodium which is the generic name for Aleve. I find the Naproxin very effective.
