Argentina delivers good value. A fellow that I helped to get a speaking slot at a convention I recently organized brought me a 1/2 case sampler as a present. I have only had one bottle so far, one of the Altocedres, which looks like it is about $13 retail and it was in a whole different class than the usual Malbecs one finds. Clearly, most of them are made for easy, early drinking ... still good value ... but this one was quite serious at a price point way under what I would usually expect to find that level of seriousness.
