There has been a discussion about who will be first to get off the line, ULBI or VLNC, and who will be the dominant supplier?

My question is: does it really matter? Is the market not big enough to swallow what both companies are capable of producing in the near future, based on their current plans? Isn't it be possible that BOTH companies are capable of doing very well with this technology?
