"Compensatory damages are reasonable in some circumstances. Punitive damages are asinine. And the stupid boobs who sit in our legislature are busy buying votes elsewhere."

There are no punitive damages in lawsuits in Washington. That's not to say suits in other states don't affect us in this state by making the procedure more expensive.
