That works but means you wait. You can also sell calls close in at a strike unlikely to be reached by expiration, to capture the premium. The weekly options are good for that. You can get a list here cboe.com

I'm guessing many thread visitors at least dabble in short term trades, the days of 3 baggers during a chip cycle [at least for stocks like AMAT, etc] being over.
