So, you think people in large numbers are going to install these eyesores on the tops of their houses at a cost of 10 or 20K to get 4-6 hours/day of PART of the electricity they require?

One of these 4kW panels will run a water heater. Three of them will run an electric range. One will run a small a/c unit.

You are DREAMING. Not in your lifetime or mine.

There is a lot of potential for nanosciences here. But that is a long way away. These devices as they stand today would be used only by nutcases who can't do arithmetic. Which is the reason nobody else is doing it.
