The real joke is, even if you install them and reduce your usage, the power company has a minimum threshold amount to keep your account open! If too many do it they will raise rates to compensate as most have guarantees on what they make.

The problem is the amt of power it takes to run things like a A/C. Compressor start up takes 2-3 or more times the running current draw.

Also, try to put up a wind generator in your yard. Code enforsement will be right out.
