>> It's not if your house is sitting on the seismic "activity"...
Dude, it is Guy, Arkansas. Not too many houses around (most blown away by the tornados).
But honestly, it wouldn't bother me anyway.
>> .parking parabolic mirror arrays above ground doesn't destroy anything...life goes on around it.
You are, of course, 180 degrees WRONG. But it seems it okay to devastate wildlife as long as it is for SOLAR energy. If it is for evil hydrocarbons, totally different story.
I don't personally care, as I don't really give a shit about turtles. But the reality is that these huge solar developments totally disrupt wildlife in the region, effectively, forever. FAR MORE DISRUPTION THAN, FOR EXAMPLE, THE GULF SPILL, which has had NO NOTICEABLE EFFECT other than that created by the incompetent Obama administration.
>> .the operations are notoriously shoddy, huge truck convoys often running overloaded through country roads, containment ponds that leak heavy metals into streams and groundwaters, and disasters like the sludge release in TN...
Well, I haven't talked with anyone who is complaining and I would wager I'm more in touch with the situation than you are.
>> you are pointing out ecological concerns with solar and telling us that strip mining is just fine
I'm simply pointing out the inconsistency of the radical leftwinger position. There are HUGE downsides to solar energy that aren't even mentioned -- probably out of ignorance, I recognize -- but this is the liberal way. |
