"Land with solar reflectors is semi-permanently useless for anything else."

Dave, have you TRAVELLED any in our great SW? Some parts of the desert are starkly beautiful, and I love them. They're one reason I moved to SLC, for day-trip access.

But much MORE of it is flat, not scenic, has no water, and totally useless for any human purpose save as a GREAT site for solar collectors! If it was good for anything, why aren't people DOING anything with it? Why is it cheaper than the dirt and sand it's made of?

The entirety of western Utah is useless, flat, ugly desert. Energy Solutions owns a good chunk of it, and they store low level nuclear waste there.
