As to superficiality, it isn't ME who is willing to exchange one environmental problem for another without due consideration. It is an inconvenient truth that solar comes with its own environmental downsides, and they are substantial. Even the rooftop units you think will make a significant contribution (LOL) -- suffer from both unsightliness and either content of Cadmium (a highly carcinogenic element) or great potential for shortages of certain elements which will cause prices to increase going forward. If anyone is partisan here it is you -- your willingness to ignore important facts because of your dogged determination that solar is the solution to all energy problems when it is blatantly obvious there are numerous problems with it. This is before you even START to talk about the big issue -- that it is highly intermittent and can be relied upon to produce a minimal amount of energy on a daily basis in any given locality.
