Unregulated things are unstable Regulated things are unstable Unregulated markets crash Regulated markets crash The only difference is that regulated markets crash bigger and more often. Boom/bust cycles are a reality with humans and with all other living populations. Government intervention increases the amplitude and frequency of those cycles. You are showing your naivete if you believe that regulating markets eliminates the boom/bust cycle.
