"Only if you shift the goal posts and claim that the New Deal was never meant to end the Great Depression."

Nonsense. It was intended to end the Great Depression. And it made great strides. Until the deficit hawks convinced FDR to start trimming spending, despite the opposition of many of his economists. The result was both predicted and proof.

"Others think that FDR could never spend enough to overcome the depression, and that all FDR did was to extend the circumstances."

They are a tiny minority.

"Either way, the New Deal failed to end the Great Depression. That's a historical fact."

That it did. It took the even greater spending of WWII to finally end it. As with the rest of the world. However, the US was much further along the road to recovery than virtually every other country at the time.

That is indisputable.

"Actually CJ, that's your tactic"

Nonsense. I just insist on the facts, not made up BS.
