An exquisitely positive addiction, to the Word of God. I think each of us has an approach befitting our part in the body. There was no intention of criticism of your approach, or anybody's, David.
Another thought is in comparison to what is known statistically of "cold calling" (sales calls) on the telephone. I've heard that about 10 out of 100 respond with interest, and of each 10, typically about 1 of each 10 buy the product. So maybe, in light of that, our approach isn't much more important than the tint on the glasses we look through.
But the "product" we are selling is both free and priceless, so you'd think there would be a better response than that.
Looking to your last paragraph and sentence ... maybe my mind is slow because it is late, but what is the play on words? It is probably as plain as the trees being the forest, but at the moment I just see trees. (... And then Jesus touched his eyes again and he saw clearly Mark 8:25) Give me another touch of explanation, please, David.
