Question for the thread!

Can someone describe the difference between downloading 25 megs and downloading 3 megs? I guess what I'm asking, how many megs do you download with dial up?

The company that says they can provide me 3 megs at a place I have up in the mts calls it "broadband." Would that be a proper description? We're talking DSL here. How much should I pay a month for (what I think is going to be) slow service?

I have the option of getting a phone now also and could just do dial up if 3 megs is the equivalent of dial up and forgo the cost of "broadband."
