I have not looked at this thread for two or three days. I was surprised to see so many comments about our old friend, Mr. Taylor.
As usual, your comments are more analytical, objective, and more to the point than most. In addition to your comments, I would like to add that it is probable that Mr. Taylor thinks that the late COC results for Naxos is a bad omen. I can see how he would think that.
I am not going to sell Naxos and buy IPM. I do not follow anyone blindly. I'm in Naxos to the end. However, I do not think less of Mr. Taylor for his recommendation. He is doing what he thinks is right. He is a fine analyst who always brings up interesting projects. Sometimes he's right, and sometimes he's wrong--like all newletter writers and editors. I'm sticking with Naxos no matter what, and I hope Mr. Taylor is wrong on this one. However, whatever happens, I will take responsibility for the fact that I purposely chose not to follow Mr. Taylor's advice on this one.
If he's wrong, I still respect him. He earned my respect a long time ago.
As for Mr. Greg John and Mr. Taylor, I wasn't present at their meeting and I don't know what happened. I only know what people from both corners say about the matter. With the number of spin-masters that this world has, it's hard to say what the truth is. However, I am impressed with the record of Greg John's father over the last year and all the crap that Mr. Jimmy John put up with to get to this point. And I value Mr. Taylor's input at all times. But, again, I don't blindly follow anyone.
I know a lot about Mr. Jimmy John and Mr. Jay Taylor--I admire them both. But I know Mr. Greg John only in the context of the conflict with Mr. Taylor. Before learning of their conflict, I never heard of Mr. Greg John. I still don't see how anyone can say what the truth of the matter was at the meeting of Mr. Taylor and Mr. Greg John, except for Mr. Taylor and Mr. Greg John.
I find it hard to believe that anyone knows what Mr. Taylor's motives are, but Mr. Taylor. If I had to guess, I'd say that you have probably come closer to his reasoning than those who attribute all kinds of evil to Mr. Taylor's motives. He's an analyst and I would find it easy to believe your explanation, which is probably the truth, or close to it. Though I certainly hope that Mr. Taylor is wrong on this one.
