<<And its Obama who stands between them and their rise. Don't you get it? He can't go up against them directly.......that would be a fool's game for so many reasons.
I know as much as you about political strategy. Obama had a strong mandate he squandered when he got in. FDR and TR fought the rich straight on.
He hasn't squandered it. He's doing. The banks that are paying fines. The bank managers under indictment. They are happening....quietly. And The Rich are pissed but they can't do too much because of the public backlash that would result.
Had Obama hired warriors like stiglitz, Krugman, roemer and volker and set them loose things would have gottne done, or Howard Dean.
Krugman, Krugman, Krugman.......if he was so good, why is he a professor? You know what they say about academicians, don't you?
We'll see if he will even makes a recess appointment of Warren?
That's a tough one.
Obama seems to like the middle. He is not engaged in some brilliant strategy. He likes moderates and he like guys like Geithner, Petraeus, etc.
He doesn't like Petraeus and as for Geithner, he's doing a good job. Yes, I know you don't agree but he is. His stress tests were brilliant and got American banks into shape unlike their Euro counterparts.
He used to make fun of Krugman and insulted Krugman, Stiglitz, Roemer and Volker. Goolsby and romer and volker all rebelled and left.
How is that a strategy?
I see. You know all this because you and Goolsbee eat lunch regularly? |
