What does this confidential list stuff mean?

There are 1,222 wells on the confidential list.

It means that production data does not have to be reported until wells are finished according to the filed methodology.

Few realize that at an AVG production per day of only 275 BOPD these 1222 wells should be adding 336,000 BOPD to ND production by year end.

Further, the Shale Business is a different business than all other previous oil booms,....there are virtually NO ) Zip Nada Dry Holes.....

Further like in North Dakota, there are separate formations which dont Communicate (which means one field or layer is not dependent or related to the other) with each other...one formation might be 300 ft thick and the other 450....the shale guys are redefining efficiency in these fields, with multiple wells on the same pads, targeting different layers as unique fields in and of themselves.

70 % of whats been done so far in ND can be reworked, ( as men and material reach a better level of awareness about proper methodology) as in refracked for even greater productivity and all this is a moving target as equipment designers are rethinking the tool sets as we speak..

One oil company said that they have potential to drill 3000 wells on mineral rights they hold (20 years of drilling), while in the most recent quarter they only completed 6 new wells and 6 others are on confidential list awaiting fracking....folks have no clue about this new business and it is a complete departure from the old business of soda straw production.
