the_big_guy, certified fuel expert:

"i was working on my car once, and figured I would replace the fuel pump. I pulled out the old unit, and inspected it. It seemed all right, but I remember my mechanic saying to me... "it was so clogged, John, that I could barely blow through it." Anyway, being the bright lad that I am, I figured I would do just that.

So, I grabbed it firmly in both hands, wrapped my lips around the inlet nozzle, and blew as hard as I could. Now, the outlet is right beside the inlet. I succeeded in blowing a geyser of gasoline right to the back of my nostrils.

I immediately dropped everything and ran inside. My roommate was there and I was making this odd grunting sound, not knowing quite what damage I had done to my internal nasal passages. He said "get in the shower", which was what I did... clothes and all."
