Thanks Sam, I think a lot of the data that contributors post here show just how difficult it is to put it all together and make good investment decisions. I can't prove this, but I think it is more difficult now than it ever has been to piece together all the factors that move the market. Fundamental analysis seems to have benefits over the relatively long term, but for the short term, days or weeks, the market is a result of happenings on a worldwide basis when happenings in the past in the U.S. used to be much more important. Good examples abound all the time such as we wake up in the morning to find out what is happening in Greece - are they going to go bankrupt or will the EU bail them out? We're constantly on a yo-yo existence. One of the results of this perilous U.S. and World economic situation has been to suppress PE's and PEGs compared to more normal times in the past. We just have to keep trying to find ways to profit in this environment. Don
