Who's going to buy a USED Leaf, with a very expensive battery that has an unknown amount of life left? I imagine a Leaf depreciates 10k when it's driven from the lot! Once again, comparing with the Volt, you're in far better shape with a Leaf. You do realize the Volt has a battery pack that MUST BE REPLACED, just like the Leaf. The difference is that Nissan is far ahead on battery tech, apparently, getting the cost of the Leaf's replacement into the 5-6k range, while the Volt's is estimated at 8k. >> It's a second or third car, at it's very best. A totally sensible purchase as a second car for many, but reasonably priced (more than 10K less than the Volt) and dirt-cheap to drive. And there are no gas stations involved. They serve different markets. But the Leaf definitely is a better fit for its market.
