I don't know that your article proves your point, but it definitely proves ONE of mine: People (in this case the car rental agency) will NOT BOTHER WITH PLUGGING IT IN because it runs like a diesel electric -- on hydrocarbons.

It is just too much trouble for a few miles a day of burning electricity off the grid versus gasoline. They'll STILL buy gas, and probably as much as ever before.
