Propaganda by the right wing is what I worry about most as it has been so effective; and now it will be super charged with the Citizens United decision.

Not sure why the Dems can't join the Reps on the low road. With regard to the budget, just say, over and over again, "We refuse to let the Reps place the entire burden on balancing the budget on the middle class. Even the rich have to make a token sacrifice with slightly higher taxes. It's the American way to share sacrifice in times of trouble, and the rich get far more benefit from our great country".

There are dozens of rhetorical positions that would make the Reps want to hide under their beds.
