As governor here, Romney cut the budget by eliminating/consolidating departments and getting rid of a lot of waste. When he took over, there were 150 flacks in state government. He fired all but about 30. There were 700 lawyers and he cut that back. He fixed the RMV and several other agencies. This all happened in his first 18 months.

Then he lost interest.

He started chumming with the Dems, passed Romneycare and appointed a bunch of lib judges. And he never touched the Big Dig, preferring to stay on the sidelines until the crap hit the fan.

He was more interested in building his presidential resume than running the state.

I'll vote for him if he's the nominee, but hoping someone else will get it.
