I got over the socialist fallacy early on - soon after first contact with government officials, who are very difficult to avoid.

Oddly, my parents believed socialist ideas for many decades [being part of the system I suppose and from the era of big socialism development, having come out of the pioneer era where people worked and bludging wasn't an option].
