For anyone working with Vista or Windows 7 Boot Configuration, they may benefit from easy to use tools for editing the BCD. Visual BCD Easy BCD Visual BCD also features StartUp repairs. Cheers, PW. P.S. I'd think that restoring Track 0 and MBR would get rid of RootKits. (Especially if one booted from a CD to run their image restoring software.)
