I googled on and off all day expecting to find something that some TSA agents walked out on their jobs or scanners where shut down for testing but nothing. Who goes back to work after all the articles yesterday on cancer clusters? Even if you knew one person had gotten sick that you worked with you now know others have and you are at risk. I understand there is a shortage of jobs but the pay isn't good enough to risk your life.

This is a little off topic but too strange not to post. How did no one notice a dead body at the bottom of the pool for two days? If the kid told the life guards she didn't come up I am sure he probably told his parents the same story when he went home without her. Don't lifeguards usually skim a pool and clean up after everyone is out? I can't believe society has been this dumbed down that no one noticed..

FALL RIVER (FOX25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - The body of a Fall River woman was discovered floating in a state run pool late last night, two days after she apparently drowned in that same pool.

Police say lifeguards were on duty and people were swimming in the Veterans Memorial pool at Lafayette Park Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and it appears no one noticed the dead body.

Investigators identified the body as 36-year-old Marie Joseph.

Police say Joseph was watching her 9-year-old neighbor at the pool on Sunday when she apparently had an accident sliding down a waterside.

Family friends tell FOX25 the little boy told lifeguards that she did not come up from above water but no action was taken.

The Bristol County DA would not confirm if the woman’s body was in the water for two days, but did call the set of circumstances "unbelievable" and said the death is still under investigation.

The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), who runs the pool, has since closed all 30 of their deepwater pools until further notice.

DCR has also placed the entire staff of the Veteran's Memorial Swimming Pool on administrative leave.

According to friends, Marie Joseph has left behind five children and lived in an apartment a mile form the pool.

The Department of Conservation and Recreation released the following statement:

On behalf of the Department of Conservation and Recreation, we express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Marie Joseph. By 5:30pm today all 30 of DCR's deepwater pools will be closed while we conduct a full review of each facility's safety and operational procedures over the next 24 to 48 hours.

As of this hour, the entire staff of the Veteran's Memorial Swimming Pool in Fall River has been placed on administrative leave.

We will continue to cooperate fully with local and state law enforcement during their ongoing investigation.
