perhaps in the GSM bts biz there is some legs. Less than 20% of China is 3G now and almost nothing in 4G. I guess if you like small boutique busnesses, it works out, but not one which can scale to teh level of growth that it could command. Buying the MOT division got htem alot of presence in China and perhaps some technology. So are they limited to China and Africa as their entire future? India will be dominated by both chinese (ZTE) and India JVs.

What is their 4G roadmap now?

I tried to deal with them on their very small cell products and they never seemed like they could engage at all, even though they had products there. always trying to find some other angle to go around me. Even though we could do business together, they had this attitude of them or nothing. Same for all the big iron guys.

In less than 5 years, I see a whole host of new players in this market with small cells and new backhauls. The players of today must adapt or be gone. 4G cells will be coming out from all sides, as everyone is developing a new small cell with very low cost.
