I never dated a single conservative my whole life and knew I could never marry one. We would have driven each other nuts. most of my friends are liberals. My best friend from childhood (and to this day) is gay and he's quite liberal. The friend who I hang out with most is black and liberal. The best man at my wedding is Mexican and liberal. And along with the two mentioned above, made for quite the diverse wedding party. I've dated mostly liberals, though I married a conservative. One of my past girlfriends who is probably the most liberal ended up switching teams and is now a lesbian (ha! and you thought I was going to say that she switched teams and is now conservative!). She happens to be one of the closest friends that both my wife and I have. Her Mom sends me and my son birthday cards every year. I dunno, I get along with liberals just fine. Maybe it's when you refer to someone as a sociopath just because they disagree with you that they choose to avoid you. For the most part, I try to associate with nice people, good people...liberal or conservative doesn't much matter to me.
