Why god? IMO, that is a human creation

Why not God?

We will always be faced with the question "How (and/or Why) did all of this begin"?

Why does this universe exist? Did it just spontaneously begin?

Why are Humans the only (seemingly) self-aware creatures on the planet, which actually possesses the cognitive capability to ponder these questions?

So yes.. "God" is a manifestation of Man's desire to make sense of our existence, as well as our sentience. Other creatures on the planet, based upon our observations, don't seem to care much for why they are here. They just "exist" according to their genetic programming (instinct).

Why are we different?

And btw, I think you've fallen into the same semantical prison that many others have.. We refer to something as "God" because we assign them abilities that we can only dream about possessing. We refer to them as "God" because they help explain the unexplainable (based upon current scientific understanding).

I'm fine with the possibility that there is no God.. and nothing beyond my current corporeal existence. When I die, I really wouldn't be in much of a position to complain about being "deceived".

But I'm comforted, and kept accountable and restrained in my actions, by my belief that there is a God, and an existence after this.

Without a "fear" of God and post-humous consequence for our actions, this would truly be a planet ruled by the "law of jungle". I can only imagine how all of us would act were we not open to the possibility of a "final judgement" for our actions during our lives. All that would matter are our own selfish interests.

So faith, and religion, serve it's vital role in giving mankind purpose and moral foundation.

None of us can "prove" the existence of God. All we can do is experience it for ourselves in our lives, and our thoughts.

But I acknowledge your right not to believe in a diety, or the supernatural.
