Since the title of this thread is ETRADE Sucks, I don't want to be too nice, but has anyone noticed that there haven't been any problems accessing ETRADES web site recently? Web response time also seems much improved. I have noticed a similar effect at Fidelity On-Line Express which used to be sluggish even at off hours. Has anyone noticed similar improvements with other on-line brokers? The events of 2 weeks ago appear to have been a much needed wake-up call to the entire industry telling them that they needed excess capacity to handle that kind of trading frenzy. This can only be good for individual investors. The ability to trade freely during times of market volotility should be a stabalizing force because it increases over all market liquidity.
