The CBO does not score speeches tejek.... and O's budget was unanimously voted down in the senate. Douglas Elmendorf, the director of the Congressional Budget Office, told the House Budget Committee this morning that his office was unable to estimate the long-term viability of the "budget framework" President Obama outlined in his April 13 budget speech. "We don't estimate speeches," said Elmendorf. "We need much more specificity than was provided in that speech for us to do our analysis." That was at the beginning of the budget talks. There is much more down than just speeches. The Dems have not submitted a budget in a few years... Even when they controlled all 3 branches. Who told you? What does that matter? I said return to the tax rate pre Bush. Why hasnt the President and the Senate put that proposal out ? It is out there.....let the Bush tax cuts expire. The GOP won't agree. Look the GOP has gone over to the dark side. The party is devolving and fast becoming a regional party. They don't like it so they are willing to fight dirty and not pull their punches. Your support of them suggests something very close to treason. Ryan is an idiot. I would be surprised if any Dem responded directly to his proposal. It doesn't warrant a response. I would prefer that Dems ignore it. You must be happy as a pig in slop then... because the Dems have done nothing period. Why should they... we are on the road to bankruptcy so why should you expect them to do their job ? Or does that only apply to the GOP ? Wait.... the GOP has put proposals out... We are not on the road to bankruptcy. That's the myth created by your party. Not really. There are three branches of gov't that work fairly independently of each other. You should read up on the workings of the federal gov't and the Constitution. Lets do one at a time : The president is also responsible for preparing the Budget of the United States, although the Congress must approve it. So whats your response to that fact tejek ? Preparing a budget is a major enterprise. He's not about to submit a detailed budget in writing that is guaranteed to fail. So you work out the details prior to submittal. So its fine with you that the CEO and CIC of our country publicly refuse to meet with the Senate and high tail it over to Marthas Vineyard for yet another vacation when he hasnt prepared a budget since taking office ? Yes. You don't negotiate with the devil.
