I enjoyed the card and laughed about it. At times our lunch bunch have spoken about the "Hearafter" and the comments were hysterical.

Sorry to hear your news and hope they can get it fixed and have you back on your way to living in comfort without any pain.

My oldest daughter, Trayce, tore her rotator cuff three years ago while bowling with me in our league. She rolled her first ball, the pain hit her but she did start with a strike and had to sit down and quit bowling. Her muscle fell almost to her elbow and she was in great pain. She had the surgery, but evidently in her recovery she must have hurt it again as she still has problems with it. Never felt she could rejoin our team and was very scared it might happen again. They sent her home with a therapy chair she exercised in for two weeks that automatically raised her arm upward and downward and from side to side. She said it really helped her. But I think she went back to doing her housework too quickly and vacuuming was difficult for her. The forward and backward motion was very uncomfortable. She now waits for her daughters to come home and vacuum for her and one or the other try to visit at least once a week to help her. One is away at college and the other lives in a nearby town and works.

I hope your road trip compels you to enjoy the beautiful scenery and enjoy good meals while you baby that arm while gone. I hope you know about Bio Freeze cream as it will help ease the pain. Trayce constantly uses it at night before going to bed and she said it gives her relief while sleeping. She has arthritis in her finger joints and hopes to have surgery to remove the bone spurs she has also. However her hands don't seem to bother her that much as her arm does and she keeps putting that off for now. That condition came because she constantly used a glue gun too much in the craft work she did for a few years. I think it is heredity as others in the family have all had the crippling type in their hands and joints. So far I have escaped getting it and that is a blessing for me. She said she did not want to have the rotator cuff surgery again if she can avoid it. I think the time will come when she will change her mind and hope so.

Happy 4th to you also and to all the Gits to enjoy safe travel if you leave home. I sit here wishing Luckylady could have gone to the Casino for the weekend. That is my pity party attitude. <gg> Instead, we went out to dinner with two other couples tonight at one of our favorite eating places.

Love & Hugs, Naomi
