I'll labour the point - the Doomster scientists say the great majority of scientists agree with their theories, there is a consensus, so the few heretics can be ignored. Einstein says it takes just one heretic to show that he and the hordes of scientists agreeing with him are wrong. Popper put a similar idea in with the idea of falsifiability of scientific theories.

The global doomster predictions don't match the reality that has already happened. That's a fail. Adjusting the theory to backfill to reality does not make the theory right after the fact.

The first principle of Doomsterism is where they go wrong. The premise that Earth is in Balance is a false premise. Gaia is NOT keeping Earth just hunky dory. Man with original sin has not ruined the Garden of Eden. Earth is not running happy harmony feedback loops to keep things perfect, spoiled only by human CO2.

If you really think there is a Gaia keeping Earth in Balance, you'd have to include humans as a Gaian achievment, brought into the picture just in time to rebalance CO2 to the correct level. Hooray for Gaia and human CO2 which Gaia produced.
