I strongly agree, GZ. Conservatives should never compromise with the Left. Those days are over.
Conservatives must demand that our elected representatives...
- never compromise with Democrats and their radical Left-wing ideas
- not raise taxes, whatsoever, in any form
- not increase the debt ceiling (if it causes a default on obligations to bond holders, so be it... they knew the risks when they bought the bonds)
- not implement austerity measures in any form
The fact of the matter is that as taxpayers, we pay more-than-enough in taxes to effectively run this country. Between income taxes, capital gains taxes, sales taxes, death taxes, property taxes, road tolls, gas taxes, and the host of government "fees", hell yes... we pay more than enough taxes to run the nation.
I want for my representatives to begin dramatically reducing the size and scope of government. I do not mean by 1 or 2 percent... I mean by 50 to 75 percent right now! This issue of deficit spending has been out of control for decades and it needs to stop right now!
The only people who should receive entitlements are the U.S. citizens who were forced to pay into the socialist systems at gunpoint. They should receive what was promised to them and the programs must be permanently phased out without punishing younger workers in the least.
Welfare and so forth must end. Entitlements for illegals must end and deportations must begin. Foreign aid must end. Allow charities and religions to take care of the sick and needy on a case-by-case basis. |
